Yamaguchi Castle Ruins
The Yamaguchi clan built Yamaguchi Castle at
Gonokuchi under Nobunaga’s orders.
Ieyasu is said to have visited the castle.
Currently, tea plantations are expanding here.
Gokuraku-ji Temple nearby is the Yamaguchi
clan’s family temple. It is said that the temple
gate is located at the back gate of the castle
