Wind Chime Festival

Wind chimes are hung throughout the temple grounds, sounding on a backdrop of tea plantations, hills and the sky. It is some 5 ˚C cooler at Shoju-in Temple than in central Kyoto, and the sight and sound of the wind chimes stimulate the senses in such a way that it feels even cooler. Visitors can enjoy the many different sounds and shapes of wind chimes from all over the country.
