Spring
Tea-picking gathering
May.01.2018
Wouldn’t you like to experience picking tea in Ujitawara-cho, “birthplace of Japanese green tea”? Participants can rent tea-picking outfits and order bentos [boxed lunches] made with lots of local ingredients. There are plenty of events, including manufacturing hand-rolled tea, a cha-kabuki tea-tasting, a class on ways to brew tasty tea, grinding tea into matcha powder on a millstone and many more. It’s even better in the season when new tea sprouts are budding!
